Dear respected SATU member, 

Warmest greetings from SATU Presidents’ Forum International Secretariat! Firstly, I would like to express my appreciation to all members and the 2011-2012 SATU Steering Committee for your dedication and contribution through invaluable inputs and advices, which had made the SATU Presidents’ Forum a solid platform for member universities. 

2012 SATU Presidents’ Forum had successfully rounded off and new (2013-2014) Steering Committee Members have been elected/appointed. Because of the success in 2012 Joint Research Scheme program, every member university is welcome to host the programs scheduled in July to September 2013. Host university is welcome to propose the theme of joint research. 
In addition, the SATU International Secretariat would like to know your willingness to host the 2013 SATU Steering Committee Meeting, which provides a great opportunity to present your university to all Steering Committee members and a good channel to strengthen the multidisciplinary academic network in the Southeast and South Asia region. Any member willing to host this event in October 2013 is very much appreciated. Non-steering committee member would be invited to join the steering committee meeting if hosting. 
I would take this opportunity to highlight again the PhD scholarship for doctoral program in the Institute of Creative Industries Design (ICID), NCKU. A special scholarship (monthly stipend of NTD$30, 000, approximately US$1,000) will offer to international students of SATU member universities.
